My name is Helen Jensen (she/her pronouns) - a Clinical Social Worker (#LW 61035846). I chose Social Work education to become a therapist because I appreciated a systematic view. This is how I usually approach presenting concerns. What this means is that I address your concerns by assessing how you interact with and are influenced by your environment.
My upbringing heavily influenced my interest in becoming a mental health therapist. In my encounter with numerous people in all ages, they easily opened up to me. Listening to others' life stories brought me so much joy, and they told me they feel better after talking to me. I wanted to do what I am good at, so I came to the United States to pursue my dream. I am an immigrant to this country and I live my enriching life with multicultural identities. I highly value differences and this helps me be more curious about you!
What I love about my job is seeing people’s courage to share their unspoken stories. It is my true honor to be invited to your journey and be able to walk with you as your therapist.
In our therapeutic journey, I cannot guarantee that all of your issues will be solved. What I can guarantee is to provide you the most client-centered care that you deserve. Your voice will be heard and respected.
